      6/ 1/03 Sunday
  British foreign secretary says evidence that Iraq had weapons of
  mass destruction, is "overwhelming".  In G-8 opening discussions,
  increasing money to fight AIDS in poor countries, was covered.
  U.S. officials have decided to choose 25 to 30 Iraqis, to serve as
  an interim council, until the Iraq interim government is formed.

      6/ 2/03 Monday
  G-8 meeting, in France, ends up by everyone's agreement to rebuild
  Iraq, and fight the build-up of nukes in Iran and N Korea.  It is
  announced that the U.S. senate armed services, and intelligence
  committees are going to start investigation of the "weapons of mass
  destruction in Iraq" question.

      6/ 3/03 Tuesday
  G-8 leaders are in disagreement over what to do about nukes in Iran
  and N Korea.  15,000 U.S. troops move into two anti-U.S. cities in
  central Iraq.  Bush meets with Israeli, Palestinian leaders, in the
  Mideast summit.  Martha Stewart's lawyers say she will plead not
  guilty, if Stewert is indicted by feds.

      6/ 4/03 Wednesday
  One U.S. troop was killed and 5, wounded, in town in central Iraq.
  After Middle East summit, Bush dodges Iraq, and speaks from Qatar:
  "we'll reveal the truth" about Iraq weapons of mass destruction.
  WHO says SARS is past world peak.  Martha Stewart is indicted on
  several counts, by fed grand jury; Stewart pleads not guilty.

      6/ 5/03 Thursday
  Two New York Times editors resign, due to April's plagiarism
  scandles.  Stewart steps down as CEO of Martha Stewart Living
  Omnimedia, Inc.  U.N. nuclear inspectors go to Iraq; plan on being
  on job for two weeks.  Dow closes above 9,000, has been going up.

  Suicide bomb explodes near bus in Kabul, Afghanistan - kills 4
  German international peace-keepers, wounds 20+.  U.S. unemployment
  figure goes to 6.1% - highest has been in 9 years.  NASA runs tests
  and concludes shuttle heat shield failed, due to take-off incident,
  when foam insullation knocked against shuttle wing.

      6/ 7/03 Saturday
  One U.S. troop killed, 4 wounded in action in Tikrit, in N Iraq.
  Palestinians kill 4 Israeli troops, in Gaza City army post.  U.S.
  gives up on former exiled Iraqi opposition leaders, to be future
  leaders in Iraq.  Pope John Paul, on 100th trip of career,
  visits Croatia.

      6/ 8/03 Sunday
  One U.S. troop killed in Western Iraq, at checkpoint.  Poles vote
  "yes", will be joining E.U.  Monkeypox is reported to be found in
  WI, IL, IN, in U.S.  European craft, on Russian rocket, blasts off
  to mars, from Kazakhstan.  U.S. security advisor Rice assures news
  reporter that the Iraqi weapons of mass destruction will be found.

      6/ 9/03 Monday
  Ammo dump explosion, in S Iraq, kills 3 Iraqis.  Israelis dismantle
  10 small West Bank Israeli outposts.  Hilary Clinton's new book,
  "Living History", is in bookstores - is a big booksigning event in
  New York City.  FBI drains pond in MD, looking for 2001 anthrax
  evidence.  A family, in Wisconsin, is quarantined for monkeypox.

      6/10/03 Tuesday
  Bush criticizes Israel for rocket attack on Hamas leader, in Gaza;
  Israelis defend the attack.  In Baghdad, one U.S. troop is killed,
  one wounded in action, at checkpoint.  U.S. launches 1st of two
  Mars Rover missions; will touch down on mars in seven months.

      6/11/03 Wednesday
  Suicide bomb goes off in bus in central Jerusalem - kills 16,
  wounds 60+.  Retiring weapons inspector, Hans Blix says Washington
  made his job tougher, and used underhanded techniques to do so.
  NASA announces that all shuttle launches will be in the day time.
  Currently, Dow is: 9,183; U.S. national debt is: $6.58 trillion.

      6/12/03 Thursday
  For third night, students hold anti-government protests against
  hard line clerics in Iran.  U.S. troop forces attack alleged
  terrorist camp, NW of Baghdad - appache heliocopter is shot down;
  no-one injured.  U.S. sends former weapons inspector, David Kay, to
  Iraq, to help find weapons of mass destruction.

      6/13/03 Friday
  U.S. troops have killed 97 Iraqi opposition troops, in last two
  days of clashes.  Israeli & Palestinian leaders are to re-start
  peace talks. tommorow.  Israelis launch two missile attacks against
  Hamas operatives & leaders. Dow lost some. today, but is still
  above 9,000.

      6/14/03 Saturday
  In Iraq, U.S. military makes sweep in town of Fallujah, in
  operation known as "Spartan Scorpian".  WHO expert says SARS cure
  will not be found soon.  Due to financial crunches, some public
  schools in U.S. are cutting various summer school programs.

  U.S. troops, in Iraq, continue "desert scorpian" in villages west
  of Baghdad - acting on tips & other intelligence, search homes and
  detain some civilians suspected of anti-americanism.  Is reported
  that high school drop-out rate, in Houston, TX, was fudged, and
  drop-out students were illicitly counted to be transfer students.

      6/16/03 Monday
  N Korean Rodong newspaper said U.S. crackdown on illegal drugs,
  weapons, and counterfeit money, could lead to full-scale war.  Nine
  U.S troops were wounded in two incidents, in action in Iraq.  House
  of Commons, in England, opens inquiry hearings on Iraq weapons of
  mass destruction.

      6/17/03 Tuesday
  Was second night of riots in Benton Harbor, Mich., following fatal
  motorcycle crash, during police pursuit.  Bad Bishop, in Phoenix,
  AZ, is charged with fatal hit & run, after alleged  car crash.
  U.S. forces, in Baghdad, Iraq, fire on crowd of Iraq soldiers, who
  are protesting wages.

      6/18/03 Wednesday
  Pentagon's #4 bad Iraqi was arrested in Iraq - was Saddam's
  personal secretary.  One U.S troop was killed in Baghdad, while on
  patrol.  Floods are subsiding in VA, NC, SC, after heavy rains.
  Microsoft, in U.S. and England, brings 15 lawsuits against e-mail
  spammers - spamming has been increasing since before Christmas.

      6/19/03 Thursday
  Wildfire in AZ, burns 200+ homes in mountaintop vacation community.
  U.S. troop killed, 2 wounded, in RPG attack on military ambulance,
  S of Baghdad, in Iraq.  Is reported that Bush people edited out a
  portion of EPA report, due next week - section edited was on global
  warming.  There will be record rainfall, for this month, in N.Y.C.

      6/20/03 Friday
  U.S. forces run across many top secret documents and various
  intelligence equipment, in abandoned community center, in Baghdad.
  U.N. inspectors declare that Iraq's uranium is all present and/or
  accounted for.  H. Potter book comes out in bookstores at end of
  day, and breaks publishing records.

      6/21/03 Saturday
  Pope John Paul visits Bosnia - urges lasting multi-ethnic society.
  AZ mountain wild fire continues; has burned 6,300 acres, so far.
  Iran's atomic energy chief says Iran will cooperate with U.N. A.E.
  agency.  Bush says goals for Iraq should be to bring security to,
  then to improve the lives of the Iraqi people, after Saddam's reign.

      6/22/03 Sunday
  Iraq started exporting oil, on world market, but explosion in
  pipeline to Syria still burns; S of Baghdad, RPG attack kills one
  U.S. troop, wounds another.  Senate Intelligence Committe members
  express hope that Saddam was killed in attack on convoy on 6/18.
  Pundits figure Fed will reduce interest rate, in next meeting.

      6/23/03 Monday
  AZ wild fire covers 19,500 acres; is 15% contained.  WHO lifts
  travel advisory against Beijing, for SARS.  U.S. supreme court
  releases decisions: for university of MI: affirmative action is ok,
  for most applications, but not to be taken too far; libraries can
  have internet filters installed on library computers.

      6/24/03 Tuesday
  Tornado storms hit Nebraska, for 3rd time, this week.  Six British
  troops killed, 8 wounded, in 2 attacks in S Iraq - reports say
  locals were upset at progress of nation re-building, etc.  Some are
  worried that U.S. money market will be adversely affected, if Fed
  lowers interest rate, tommorow.

      6/25/03 Wednesday
  Fed lowers interest rate .25%, to 1%; has not been this low, for 45
  years.  One U.S. troop killed, 2 wounded, in ambush en route to
  Baghdad airport.  Iraq scientist turns over some old material, from
  nuclear program - not considered significant.  Handle is gained on
  wild fires in Ariz.  Are more tornadoes in U.S. upper mid-west.

      6/26/03 Thursday
  U.S. Supreme court strikes down Texas sodomy law, in decision.  One
  U.S. troop was killed in ambush in S Iraq; 2 troops and humvee
  turned up missing in Baghdad.  Strom Thurmond, longest serving
  member of senate, dies at 100 years old.  FTC declares "no call"
  list for telephone customers, open; will be activated in October.

      6/27/03 Friday
  One U.S. troop killed, 4 wounded in ambush in NE Baghdad; 1 troop
  was killed in accident.  Totally, 59 U.S. soldiers have been killed
  in Iraq, since May 1st, when major combat was declared over.  U.S.
  military commanders have ordered stop to local elections - are
  installing selected mayors & administrators.  Dow is down 89.99,
  closed at 8989.05.

      6/28/03 Saturday
  U.S. security advisor Rice is in Israel, discussing peace; Hamas
  proposes temp cease-fire, if Israel pulls troops back from occupied
  territories.  Two missing U.S. troops were found dead, 20 miles N
  of Baghdad.  Total U.S. killed, since beginning of Iraq war, tops
  200.  Porch/balcony collapses in Chicago - kills 13, injures 50+.

      6/29/03 Sunday
  U.S. infantry holds ~Operation Sidewinder", and pulls in some 60
  suspects, in 20 raids across central Iraq, in effort to curb wave
  of attacks on U.S. troops.  Israel dismantles checkpoints in Gaza
  roads.  Tropical storm, Bill, forms in Gulf of Mexico, and heads
  towards LA, MS, AL, GA, FL.

      6/30/03 Monday
  In CNN/USA Today/Gallup polls: Americans who thought current
  fighting was going well in Iraq: early May, 86%; late May, 70%;
  now, 56%.  In Baghdad, RPG attack destroys humvee & causes some
  U.S. casualties. Tropical storm Bill rains on LA, AL, GA; moves
  NE; is reduced to being a tropical depression.
