Bush landed on Lincoln aircraft carrier, made speech at 8pm; said
most of war in Iraq was over. Some Enron executives were indicted
on various charges; some wall street investment firms have been
fined for giving un-true stock market advice. Many Iraqis are
impatient at the start of putting their country back together.

Aircraft carrier, Lincoln, arrives in California; event was very
much covered in news. Bush is still pushing for the large tax cut,
for economic stimulus - Congress is working on a bill; is in much
debate, tho. Word is, that U.S. military police brigade will be in
Iraq in a couple of weeks, and present U.S. troops will be changed
for more peace keeping ones.

Some public schools have started up, in Baghdad; there are still
many live munitions in Iraq, and pose problems for civilians.
Dow is up, some; is around 8,550. Some wonder if Israelis and
Palestinians will adher to Bush's "roadmap to peace". U.S.
unemployment has gone up to 6%.

Democrats, running for presidential bid, held debate; Kerry and
Gebhart seem to be top runners. Powell, Rumsfield, and Bush still
insist weapons of mass destruction will be found in Iraq. There
seems to be some power struggle, in Washington, over the handling
of post war Iraq. Severe storms go through OK, AR, MO, KA, TN;
several are reported killed.

Much in news of Sunday's tornado storms in MO, KA, & TN. "Mrs.
Antrax" was turned over to U.S. authorities, in Iraq; also, a
mobile lab, for producing germ warfare substances, was found
- empty of any germ warfare weapons. Some news people are
starting to wonder if there are any weapons of mass destruction,
in Iraq. One U.S. civilian said: "There aren't any weapons of
mass destruction over there, and there never have been."

Was discovered that Husein & son had $900 million in U.S. & euro
currency, hauled off from the Iraq central bank, on Mar 18, '03;
was put into 3 tractor trailer trucks. Economic pundits predict
an upswing in U.S. economy, in the last quarter of the year;
repeated last year's prediction, for last year. U.S. soldiers, in
Iraq, are looking forwards to going home; there are Texas oil
people in Iraq, checking for what can be done.

People are worried about cholera and typhoid in Iraq - there are
no trash, sewage systems working, so far. SARS is some worse in
China - more reported cases; epidemic has not "peaked"; a study
indicates SARS is some more deadly, than the 2-3%, estimated
earlier. Audio tape of Hussein was released in Australia - said to
urge Iraq people to rebel against U.S invaders - is possibly not
authentic.

Two U.S. troops were shot & killed, in Baghdad; Iraq people do not
seem to want U.S. appointed leaders. Congress is said to be going
to pass a $400 billion tax relief, economic stimulus package.
Democrats have said Bush spent too much money on the recent
aircraft carrier landing. WHO upgraded SARS death rate, to 12-15%
of infected victims. Have been more tornado storms in KA, OK, TN,
MO.

crash kills 3 U.S. troops, in Iraq. House of Reps passes $550
billion tax relief bill. Gunman shoots up college campus, in
Cincinnati, OH; was an ex-employee.

U.N. says Iraq agriculture is not in good shape, and summer could
prove testing for food supply, in Iraq. U.S. coordinator for
central Iraq, is said to be leaving Iraq, on Sun; no reason given.
There was a 2nd tornado in Oklahoma city, on Fri - damage to area
N & W of city.

Another Iraq restoration person goes home; new head of restoration
is appointed - word is that there were not enough personnel to get
the job done. Only $1 billion is given to Afghanistan per year,
from U.S., world sources, for restoration. Bush is schedualed to
tour several states, promoting the new, tax reduction package.

"Dr. Germ" turned herself in to U.S. authorities, in Iraq. First
terrorism drill was held, in Seattle. There were car bomb, small
arms attacks on U.S. civilian areas, in Saudi Arabia; some are
reported killed; Al Qaeda is chief suspect. Truck bomb incident
killed 41, in Chechnya. U.S. senate will re-start tax reduction
bill debate, on Wednesday, after suffering a parliamentary error.

Bush was in IN, MO - promoting tax relief, checking tornado storm
damaged Pierce City. Mass grave uncovered, 56 miles S of Baghdad;
3,000 bodies found, many more estimated; are Shiites, probably from
1991. Second practise run of terrorism drill was held in Chicago.
Seems to be only one U.S. reporter in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Gaza, after rockets were fired into Israel, from Gaza. Bush and
S. Korean leader, Roh, agree that N. Korea should not have nukes.
New York Times apologized for Jason Blair's fibbing in various news
reports. FBI is to investigate terror attacks in Saudi Arabia.

U.N. is more agreeable on removing Iraq sanctions - perhaps will be
only suspension of sanctions, tho. SARS deaths, in Taiwan, reaches
31, passing those in Canada. After regular hours, U.S. Senate
passes $15 billion bill for AIDS victums, $350 billion bill for tax
relief & economic stimulus. Dow is up some, to 8,715.

Fifty-five Texas House of Reps members return to Austin, from
Holiday Inn in Oklahoma - had been gone, so TX legislature could
not vote on redistricting bill. In Casablanca, Morocco, terrorists
exploded several bombs, targeting Jewish center, Belgian consulate,
Spanish restaurant. Taiwan health minister resigned, Taiwan
president talked of long battle with SARS.

WHO says majority of SARS epidemics, around the world, are ending.
Bush says war on terrorism is going well, but is only half over.

U.S. troops, near U.S. embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan, mistakenly
kill 4 Afghan soldiers. Homeland Security bumps terrorism alert
up to orange. Iraq national conference, to elect interim
government, is put off until mid-July. One mad cow is found in
Canada - McDonald's stock slips. Currently, Dow is 8,491.

Unknown bomb goes off in Yale law school classroom - terrorism not
likely. Earthquake in N Algeria; 2200+ killed. Taiwan reports 65
new incidents of SARS, bringing total to 483. CIA began study to
to determine accuracy of reports of weapons of mass destruction in
pre-war Iraq. Christie Whitman, E.P.A. administrator, said would
resign from her office, on June 27th; Whitman had had occasional
disagreements with Bush people.

some earlier announced claims of Iraq's weapons of mass
destruction. U.S. troop was killed by hostile fire on convoy in
Iraq. This week total U.S. killed in Iraq, is up to 9; wounded
is more than 20. According to military on scene, no bunker was
found in initial target area for Saddam Hussein on Mar 19th.
